GasNet: Digital Mindset in the Pipeline of Corporate Know-How

GasNet operates the largest gas network in the Czech Republic. As a strong and stable company, it plays a key role in the state’s energy infrastructure and knows that modernization is not only about technology but also about people. That is why the company systematically develops the digital skills of its employees.

And because progress cannot be made with just Ctrl+C / Ctrl+V, GasNet decided to boost its digital mindset with Digiskills, where we deliver tailor-made education.

Stepping on the Gas in Digital Transformation

GasNet didn’t just need “some training.” They were looking for a way to move digital skills from the individual level to the company-wide level and develop them systematically in the long term.

Our cooperation with GasNet started in 2019. Based on the Digiskills Assessment, we jointly created a structured plan for digital skills development, which became the foundation for the company’s entire digital ecosystem.

Digital ambassadors played a key role in transferring new digital approaches into everyday practice.

The Next Stage of Education

Another phase of education followed an internal survey in 2023 conducted via their chatbot Arnold. It revealed that employees needed greater confidence in everyday use of Microsoft 365 and room for automating routine activities. It also showed that employees themselves were eager to learn.

“For example, people who already mastered Excel asked for Power Query training – they wanted to move further. And it turned out there was room for improvement even in PowerPoint. Although everyone knows it, the training was a big hit. Eva Jokes showed us tips that surprised even advanced users – and that’s exactly what we needed,” said Petr Pěčka.

Results? Flowing Better Than Ever

Digital literacy in the company has significantly increased. Employees appreciated the quality of the training – the average rating reached 9.51 out of 10, and NPS achieved an excellent 81 points.

Thanks to Microsoft 365 tools and automation with Power Automate, it was possible to simplify daily routines and set clear processes.

The result is significant time savings and reduced burden from repetitive tasks. As Petr Pěčka confirmed:

“Our people’s digital skills have improved significantly. Employees especially appreciated the practicality and speed of the training. Without this, we would risk falling behind in digital capabilities and efficiency – and sooner or later, it would affect our competitiveness.”

What Drove the Project’s Success?

A clearly defined framework that set direction and priorities from the very beginning played a crucial role. Strong pillars also included data from the Digiskills Assessment and team collaboration with digital ambassadors.

And even though there were challenges along the way – such as keeping the training content constantly up to date – we managed to coordinate everything and always bring it to a stage where the client was satisfied.

GasNet also valued the flexibility of Digiskills training and the ability to track and evaluate learners’ progress.

“If a colleague wants to improve in Planner or Loop, it’s easily available – they can simply watch a video whenever needed. We have great materials from Digiskills, and we know they are backed by trainers we trust. Since this year, we have been monitoring not only webinar attendance but also the number of views of specific videos. And that’s a step forward for us – we want to work with data actively,” added Petr Pěčka.
