Copilot is available for everyone

The long-awaited and long-in-the-works AI that pervades Microsoft's products has only been made fully available to large enterprises with Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 or Office 365 E3 or E5 licenses.

However, on the 15th of January 2024, Microsoft announced that Copilot will now be available to companies of all sizes. This opens up new possibilities and opportunities for everyone!

To purchase Copilot for Microsoft 365, business customers must have a Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Business Premium licence. With an annual commitment, the cost of the licence is $30 per user per month, excluding VAT.

Microsoft has also removed the limit on the minimum number of licences purchased.

Other great news has also been introduced!

Copilot mobile app - The Copilot mobile app is now available for Android and iOS. Questions and conversations are synchronised across devices.

The mobile app includes the same features as Copilot on the PC, including access to GPT-4, Dall-E 3 for image creation and the ability to use images from your phone when talking to Copilot. The app is available to download from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Copilot in the Microsoft 365 mobile app - Copilot has also become part of the Microsoft 365 app for Android and iOS for people with a Microsoft account. The new feature will be phased in over the next month.

Copilot Pro

Microsoft will also finally make customers happy with Copilot Pro, a new premium subscription for individuals (but only somewhere, as the service is not yet available worldwide and we still have to wait in the Czech Republic).

Copilot Pro delivers a unified AI experience that runs on all of a user's devices, making it available anytime, anywhere.

Designed for Microsoft 365 Personal and Family subscribers, the service brings Copilot to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote across all platforms.

Copilot Pro offers priority access to the latest AI models, including OpenAI's GPT-4 Turbo, for faster and more efficient use of Copilot.

There is also an Image Creator feature for Designer to make image creation easier.

And, according to Microsoft, it will soon be possible to create custom Copilot GPTs on specific topics using the Copilot GPT Builder.

Finally, Copilot Pro is available for a monthly fee of $20 per user (or the existing licence fee + $20 for Copilot).
